The Main Event of the World Series of Poker has ended. This year, this event set a record in terms of the number of participants (general and Main Event), bracelets awarded and prize money. Tonight, three Americans compete in the final battle for the championship title. The battle did not last long; it took just over three hours to determine the winner.

The speed was mainly provided by Adam Walton. About a couple of hours later, he received a pair of eights of crosses and spades and shoved in 84 big blinds in response to a squeeze from Weinman. However, the future champion did not think about his decision for long – having a pair of aces, hearts and diamonds, he easily pressed the call and sent Walton to third place with a payout of $4,000,000.

Having gained a double advantage, Weinman did not give his opponent a chance to double, and after about 20 minutes their decisive hand was played. On the flop, Stephen Jones moved all-in and after some hesitation, Weinman called. Jones could only be saved by two outs, but the turn and river deprived him of a chance to win. Daniel Weinman became the 2023 WSOP Main Event champion and earned a record prize money of $12,100,000.

Weinman is no stranger to the world of poker. He has millions in prize money, one gold bracelet (now two), and has been friends with Josh Arie and other famous players for many years.

Every year before this I was here from the first to the last event. And by the time the main event rolls around, I’m burnt out. I told a lot of people that I don’t like this tournament

Daniel commented.

The main intrigue was resolved, and several bracelet tournaments remained on the WSOP schedule. But the story of the 2023 World Series of Poker does not end there – the organizers are preparing a big surprise for all poker fans.
