WSOP-2023: Hellmuth receives the 17th bracelet, Ivey reaches the final, the Russians are in the prizes

A new record for bracelets - the seventeenth gold bracelet to your 16

Хельмут получает 17-й браслет

The long-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) record holder for most bracelets won, Phil Hellmuth added another one this season – his seventeenth gold bracelet to his 16. Thus, it was “The Poker Brat” who became the winner of Event #72 with a $10,000 buy-in. The No Limit Hold’em Prize Tournament – Super Turbo attracted 642 players. The total prize pool for this event was $5,970,600.

For Phil, once again the path to the WSOP Main Event was not easy. For example, at the 15K/30K bet level his stack was down to 60,000 chips. But before the break, as he often does, Hellmuth was able to focus and turn the tide of the game. Even after his brilliant performance, the champion noted that, in general, luck was with him at key moments in the tournament race.

“I feel quite good. There must have been a smile on my face” –
