Nikita Bodyakovsky (Mikita Badziakouski wiki) was born in Mozyr, a city with a population of only 100,000 people. The future professional poker player showed an interest in mind games from an early age. Bordyakovsky spends most of his free time playing chess while studying at school. The young man won many regional tournaments.

At the age of 14, his interest in chess faded because it was impossible to make money from the “game of kings.” Nikita has loved gambling since he was a teenager, and by the age of 15 he was already betting on sporting events.

He later admitted that he had an extremely negative attitude towards such activities and used the term “gambling addiction” to explain his position. After about a year, Bodziakowski realized that casinos and bookmakers could not make him rich. This is how he first discovered poker.

Career

The young man quickly mastered the rules of Texas Hold’em, and his new dream was to win the World Series of Poker tournament. This became the starting point for the future success of the 16-year-old teenager.

First tournament

At the age of 18, Badziakowski made his debut in a live tournament. It was a Russian Poker Tour series tournament, held according to the rules of no-limit hold’em. The tournament took place in Kyiv, and the Belarusian took fourth place overall, winning about $5,600.

Just four months later he is set to repeat his success in the same race. In the main event of the series, Badziakowski again won the money. This time he finished 30th, earning $1,880.

Participation in other major events

Over the next three years, Nikita was a regular at major tournaments in Ukraine. In 2015, the future poker pro decided to participate in high-stakes live tournaments.
