Personal life

Johnny Moss was born on May 14, 1907 in Texas, USA. His mother died of acute appendicitis, and the future champion grew up alone with his father. The family later moved to Dallas. His father earned a stable income and was able to provide for all his basic needs. In high school, things changed dramatically. His father lost his job and the family began to have financial problems. Johnny decided that he could bring money to the family. He got a job delivering newspapers. Moss didn’t even have a bicycle, so he had to walk several kilometers every day.

Later, when problems with his father’s employment were resolved, Johnny moved to another apartment. His first promising job was with Western Union. He was still a teenager at the time, but that didn’t stop him from working for a company that would become an industry leader.
